Rich Commerford, B.Comm., M.B.A., CAIB
President and Owner
Rich is highly regarded in the insurance industry for his insurance knowledge
and business acumen. These qualities have ensured that
Macnaughton & Ward has improved its reputation for customer
service and has expanded customer options by increasing the
number of insurance companies under contract. Through training
and careful recruiting, he has developed a strong management
group to meet the diverse needs of the company's customers.
Rich gained his commercial experience while operating in various senior
financial capacities, first with the Westar group of companies
(forestry, mining, oil, and gas) and then in the Automotive
retail industry with the Jim Pattison Auto Group. In 1989 he
capitalized on his knowledge and experience by going into
business as an owner operator when he acquired Charlton
Insurance in Burnaby. He subsequently acquired Macnaughton &
Ward in 1999. Rich welcomes everyone to enjoy the Macnaughton &
Ward experience.

Julie Christiansen,
B.Comm., CA
VP, C.F.O.
Julie has been with Macnaughton and Ward since 1998. Her varied
background includes public practice, where she focused on
auditing large warehouse inventory distribution companies and
wineries. In her commercial career, she achieved promotions to
the Controllership of Jim Pattison Lease and Great Pacific
Leasing, including becoming the Senior Controller of the
Domestic Dealerships with the Jim Pattison Auto Group.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Julie currently is responsible
for all financial matters, assists the President in developing
strategic directions for the company, and also develops
initiatives to help the company and its employees reach optimal
performance levels.

James Commerford, B.A.
Senior Vice President, Dealer Services
James joined Macnaughton & Ward in 2006 after working in the
banking industry for over 6 years. Aside from possessing
exceptional customer service skills, James brings with him
experience in general accounting practices, management &
training strategies, as well as information technology.
James is currently responsible for managing the mobile road
operation and along with the CFO, assists the president in
developing strategic directions for the company. Other primary
responsibilities are to ensure the companies information
technologies are efficiently employed to reach productivity
targets.

Diane Frew, CAIB
VP Manager Guildford Office
Diane entered the Insurance Industry in 1970. She joined Macnaughton & Ward in 1981 as a Customer Service Representative handling Personal
Insurance. In 1989 the Langley Branch was opened and Diane was given the position of Office Manager. Due to her involvement in the community, loyalty to the Company and relationship with her customers, she successfully grew the business. In 1999 Diane was transferred to the Guildford office where she was given the title of Manager of Personal
Insurance. Two years later she was promoted to Vice President Manager Guildford office in recognition of her contributions. With over 30 years of industry exposure, Diane brings a depth of experience and qualifications that provides her customers with service and knowledge of the highest caliber.

With over 20 years of experience, Tracy has dealt with a variety
of commercial accounts.

John Tafreshi, CAIB
Manager Langley
John has been a Langley resident for 15 years. He
obtained his "Property and Casualty Insurance"
degree from Tehran College of Insurance, Tehran-Iran in
1977. He then started working in his home country's
insurance industry in various positions such as Claim
Adjuster, Underwriting and finally agency ownership.
After moving to Langley, Canada, in 1995, he continued to work
his way up from Sales and Service Representative to management
positions within the communty of Langley. Nasrollah
brings a depth of experience in Personal Lines, Farm and
Commercial accounts. He joined Macnaughton & Ward in
March 2006
